On Thursday, March 14th, organizations around the world will celebrate Social Prescribing Day. This year, for the first time, organizations around the United States will participate in the celebration of a movement that puts patients’ social needs and interests at the center of health care and uses our communities as medicine to address the loneliness epidemic as well as a range of mental and physical health issues.
No matter where you are, there are several ways to participate in the celebration, including two free webinars in the U.S. (1pm PST and 2:30pm PST, see below), and, one from the U.K.(9am EST), all featuring experts in the field.
However you choose to participate, make sure to use social media to let people know you believe in social prescribing! Use one or all of the following hashtags to show your support: #socialprescribingdayusa, #socialprescribingday, #socialprescribing
