Social Prescribing Day March 14: TWO WEEKS TO GO!

Dear Community:
We are just two weeks away from Social Prescribing Day 2024! Please join the celebration on March 14th and help build the social prescribing movement in the United States!
This year, for the first time, organizations throughout the U.S. will celebrate the day (along with colleagues worldwide) and spotlight the growing social prescribing movement. Scores of groups and non-profits in the U.S. have indicated that they will be participating by hosting events and programs and using their social media channels to promote the social prescribing movement. For ideas on participating in Social Prescribing Day, we encourage you to visit the U.K.’s National Academy for Social Prescribing resource guide. It launched the observance five years ago and it includes great ideas for ways to celebrate.
We are encouraging organizations of all sizes involved in social prescribing activities of any kind to get out the word on March 14th about how they are part of this growing movement. If you let us know, we will share your activities and links on our Social Prescribing Day webpage, which will be updated in the next few days and available at socialprescribingday.com.

SAN FRANCISCO EVENT

Social Prescribing USA also has a virtual simulcast available to anyone across the U.S. (and abroad) at 1-2 PM on Thursday, March 14. Speakers will include Dr. Jill Sonke and Julia Hotz and will include voices of those doing SP programs across the U.S. and time for Q&A. More information shortly on this!
